COMPETITOR AND SPECTATOR CODE OF CONDUCT
DO’S:
- Remember we are all her to have fun and enjoy ourselves,
- Applaud effort, fair play and success,
- Dance to the best of your ability,
- Be prepared and on time for your competition,
- Respect the judges and other officials,
- Accept what the competition officials ask you to do within the rules of the competition,
- Follow advice from sport doctors or physios to keep you safe and injury free,
- Tell your parents or guardian where you are, or if you are going to be late.
DON’TS:
- Engage in, or tolerate, offensive, insulting or abusive language or behaviour
- Criticise a competitor for making a mistake, mistakes are how we learn
- Swear at, or insult anyone including other competitors
- Bully other competitors by yourself or in a group.
- Bullying has many forms, some of which are noted below;
- Name calling, Shoving, Belittling, Hitting, Stealing, Making threats, Spreading rumours, Damaging belongings, Giving only negative feedback, Sending or posting nasty messages, Intentionally leaving people out.

All Dancesport events are run with zero tolerance on bullying, harassment, and antisocial behaviour.
Breaches of the code may result in action being taken by the governing body.
