IMPORTANT: The Scottish Closed Championships qualification criteria:  
  • At least one member of a partnership must hold or be entitled to hold a United Kingdom passport and;
  • one member of the partnership must have Scottish birthright or have been habitually resident in Scotland for a period of not less than one year immediately prior to the event. 
Birthright can go back as far as grandparents. Proof by production of original birth certificate or certificate of adoption from the Adopted Children’s Register or proof of habitual residence must be supplied to the organiser not later than 7 days prior to the event.

Scottish Closed Youth, Amateur and Senior Championships 2025

Our Scottish Closed Championships is being held in the Marriott Hotel, Glasgow on Sunday the 7th December 2025. This is our prestigious annual dinner dance event with a top class professional demonstration, a fabulous 3 course meal, the opportunity for some general dancing and you will be able to watch our Scottish Closed Ballroom and Latin championship competitions.

In addition to the Amateur and Senior Ballroom and Latin American Championships, we are also holding the Youth and SOLO Youth Closed Championships this year. We hope many competitors will register for the competitions and please note the eligibility criteria for the Championship categories below.
